In 2011 The Hadhams’ History Society was formed in association with the museum. The museum hosts the Society’s committee and the Curator sits as permanent Vice-Chair, also providing two talks or events each year. This forms part of the museum’s community outreach programme.

The Hadhams’ History Society meets every month, providing a variety of talks, members’ interest evenings, walks and social events. Our recent Community Big Dig Project received a grant of £200 from Little Hadham Parish Council to purchase dig tools and two test pits were excavated in the museum garden during 2012.

Our next Big Dig weekend will take place on April 20th and 21st 2013 at both the museum and St. Andrew’s School.

Membership to The Hadhams’ History Society currently costs only £7 per year; guests are welcome to all our events for a fee of £2.
